2023&2024, Shanghai, China

Ode to perpetual beauty in glistening golden lights and magical sensory experience
Lancôme’s “Art of Absolute” Exhibition features Cyril Lancelin’s Pyramid of Care to explore absolute and perpetual senses
A hollow pyramid stands in glistening golden lights and smooth curves to showcase the primitive beauty of geometry. Stepping into the sculpture, the viewers are reflected upon the golden balls from which they peer into the universe and see the beauty of all beings
The installation measures 4.5m tall with stainless steel structures electropolished more than three times to ensure evenness and spray-coated with the artist’s tailored color. These metal components were assembled on-site like puzzle blocks, and the ingeniously crafted design has relieved the construction site of welding efforts and large high lifts.
The production lasted 45 days, marking Pyramid the artist’s largest metal sculpture series ever.
K.D.Art takes charges of the management of the project and the production.

WE LAND
Cyril LANCELIN
2022-2023, Canton&Shenyang, China

K.D.Art and K11 joined forces to present “We Land”, Cyril Lancelin’s solo exhibition.
It paves the multi-dimensional access to reality and fantasy and builds up the mirroring borderlines between the two worlds with geometrical representations of abstract architectures
This exhibition marks a critical catalog of the artist’s digital, spatial, and artistic representations by presenting a dozen signature series of installations and digital artworks in Cyril’s career. “We Land” is the digital dimension of technologies and an artistic simulation, like a kaleidoscope erected in a multi-dimensional world, through which you will see the collision of reality and imagination and a realm of aesthetics and fantasies. Built right on the line between reality and the digital world, “We Land”, as the name implies, is an exhibition home to an array of dimensions, invites the audience to explore the art horizon behind digital fantasies and ignites the conceptualization for future social spaces
The exhibition was on tour from K11, Guangzhou in 2022 to K11, Shenyang in 2023

Pyramid Wave
Cyril LANCELIN
2022, Fuzhou, China

K.D.Art curated the grand opening exhibition for Fuzhou MixC by inviting a world-renowned architect and sculptor, Cyril Lancelin, to create the bespoke Pyramid Wave art series
We have explored approaches to deconstruct water to harvest aesthetics and the philosophy of “there’s a universe embedded in the water”, attempting to refine the spiritual culture touched by Fuzhou and Fuzhou MixC and to reach an artistic highland through deconstruction, the simple molecular geometry of H2O and the deciphering of the impact of water on social culture, ecosystem, and environment. We set out from the deconstruction of water and return to the nature of water, just as what’s explained in I-Ching: “The Heaven shapes the Origin, that then gives birth to Water, and Water is the maker of all lives” and the eastern philosophy of “All lives shall return to water” to form a closed-loop train of thoughts. This collection is located on the blessed grounds of Fuzhou, where the Fuzhou MixC stands
Time Peeling ²
UFO Media Lab
2022, Chengdu, China

K.D.Art and Chengdu MixC presented “Time Peeling2”, a new media art installation by UFO Media Lab, in the MixC Public Plaza, Chengdu MixC, which was on exhibit till July 10, 2022. The Time Peeling2 collection reconsiders and resets the relationships between display and construct, space, city, and the public – display as shell and core
The Cube cut through by space is scattered across the field, eroded and stained by time, surrendering itself after being peeled layer by layer and revealing what is hidden inside – a multi-dimensional space etched into the shell expecting acceptance and deciphering.
Cluster
Playmodes
2021, Canton, China
Future Cluster curated by K.D.Art features Playmodes, a top new media art studio that created permanent immersive shows for Gaudi architectures, to present a future world that has never been imagined ever before in K11, Guangzhou.
Cluster is an immersive audiovisual site-specific installation that explores relationships between space, time, and perception. Geometric schematization of architecture using light instruments transforms the space into a container for the abstract language of light and sound.
Cluster researches the possibilities of oscillator banks applied to the control of light and sound. By specifying values of parameters which define the behavior in space and time of transversal waves, a set of video textures is generated. The resulting image is then pixel-mapped to a group of digital LED bars attached to columns in the architectural space.
Atelier COLOGNE x Jay CHOU
Collectif Scale
2019, Shanghai, China
Atelier Cologne and TMall Super Brand Day jointly organized a Perfume Launch Conference in Shanghai, and invited Jay Chou - one of the most famous Chinese singers, also Atelier Cologne’s first spokesperson in the mainland, to present an art cross-border conference.
The scent is invisible and the melody is phase-less, but in the moment we perceive, we can sketch out the specific image and story in our minds, and seek the synesthesia in the creation. This is the starting point of Qi and SCALE to present LED installation - Ammonite in this conference. Lights changes with the melody, bringing the ultimate romantic feelings at the scene.
The founder of K.D.Art, Qi ZHU was the curator of the project.
